Name of Post: Indian Army Sports Quota Offline Form 2026 

Short Information: The Indian Army has released the official notification for the recruitment of Direct Entry Havildar and Naib Subedar (Sports) posts under Intake Ser No. 06/2026.

Outstanding unmarried Indian male and female sportspersons who have represented at the International, Junior or Senior National level, or Khelo India Games on or after 01 APRIL 2024 are eligible to apply across 23 sports disciplines.

Interested candidates can submit their offline application through Registered Post on or before 10 JULY 2026. Candidates are advised to read the detailed notification carefully before applying.

Post Name Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Direct Entry Havildar (Sports)
  • Unmarried Indian Male and Female Candidates.
  • Education: Passed 10th Class (Matriculation) exam from a recognized board.
  • Sports Achievement: Medalist at Junior/Senior level representing a State in National Championship OR represented the Country at International level (individual event). Medalist in Khelo India Games / Youth Games / University Games. (Achievements must be on or after 01 April 2024).
Naib Subedar (Sports)
  • Unmarried Indian Male and Female Candidates.
  • Education: Passed 10th Class (Matriculation) exam from a recognized board.
  • Sports Achievement: Winner of any medal in World Championship/Asian Championships/Asian Games/CWG/World Cup OR Represented India twice in Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/World Cup OR Represented India in the Olympics. (Achievements must be on or after 01 April 2024).

Physical Standards and Fitness Test
  • Male Candidates:
    • Height: 170 cms (Western Plains) | varies by region (157 to 170 cms).
    • Chest: 5 cms expansion.
    • Fitness Test: 1.6 Km Run in 5 minutes 45 seconds, 9 Feet Ditch, Zig-Zag Balance.
  • Female Candidates:
    • Height: 162 cms (relaxations for NE region, Gorkhas, etc. apply).
    • Fitness Test: 1.6 Km Run in 8 minutes, 10 Feet Long Jump, 3 Feet High Jump.
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical Standards.

How to Apply Offline for Indian Army Sports Quota Recruitment 2026
  • Download the application form from the official website – joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • Take a print of the application form on A4 size paper only.
  • Fill in all details in BLOCK CAPITALS exactly as per your Matriculation certificate.
  • Affix a recent colour photograph (not computerized/photocopied/photoshopped). Provide left thumb impression and signature.
  • Attach self-attested copies of Matriculation CertificateAadhar Card, and relevant Sports Certificates.
  • Put the completed application form and documents in an envelope.
  • Send it via Registered Post ONLY to: Directorate of PT & Sports, General Staff Branch, IHQ of MoD (Army), Room No 747 ‘A’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, PO New Delhi-110011.
  • The application must reach the destination before 1700 hours on 10 July 2026.
